Moira Merrick
Moira Merrick is a Regional Director in the Private Groups and High Wealth Individuals business line at the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Prior to joining the ATO in 2017, Moira was a Director in the Tax & Insights Policy group at Deloitte.
Moira completed a Bachelor of Economics, including the Honours Year Program at La Trobe University and later completed a Master of Taxation at Melbourne University. She holds the designations of Chartered Accountant from the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand and Chartered Tax Advisor from The Tax Institute.
Previous experience in the philanthropic sector includes, serving as a Board Member for We Care Community Services and as the appointed tax specialist advisor for a Government project aimed at identifying/designing tax incentives to encourage greater philanthropic behaviour in Australia.
