Synonymous with the festive season are Salvation Army Bands playing Christmas Carols outside shopping centres in the hope that shoppers will open their hearts and their wallets to help feed and buy presents for Australia’s needy, and as Michael Lynch reports in this podcast, that need is now much greater than it was at this time last year.
